OAK FIREPLACE MANTEL |

This beautiful solid oak fireplace mantel is from the late 1800's to early 1900's. It has two turned round columns with carved capitals, and there is egg and dart trimming around the mirror and fireplace openings. There is also an acanthus leaf design around the lintel and right above the fireplace opening there is a large applied molding design. These designs are all pictured below as well as the screen that comes with it. There are a few damaged spots as well as a small flat wood piece less than 1'' wide missing on either side of the two brackets supporting the mantel. It is 5' in width and 6' 8'' in heighth and the upper opening is 171/2 by 391/2. The lower opening for the fire is 381/2 by 411/2 inches. | |
